What you’re looking at is a photographic essay exploring the image of Ernest Hemingway across time but using my own likeness as the constant. I used actual, existing photos of Hemingway as the basis for each of the shots. In some (maybe two) instances, I opted to use my own body’s physicality instead of Hemingway’s.

But, what happens when you apply an old-world code (discipline, restraint, physicality, observation) to a modern life and document the result without romanticizing it?
Hemingway would (probably) say: “This is what it amounted to.”
