This is wine country gone glam, and Gen X has the disposable income (and appetite) for both and at Raymond, the pours are heavy and the chandeliers heavier.

GenX lived through both disco excess and Napa refinement: this is the perfect mashup. For them: an upside-down mannequin is cheeky, not confusing.

This isn’t going to be a polite swirl-and-spit affair 🤭 it’s chandeliers over barrels, mannequins in feathers, and velvet so red it makes Bordeaux blush.

JC Boisset has turned the cellar into a stage, equal parts cabaret and cabernet. Here, heritage isn’t hushed in oak barrels; it’s dressed up, lit dramatically, and poured with a wink. If Napa is church, Raymond is the after-party, and you’ve already been seated in the front row.

And, no, this may not be the place for GenZ 🥱🙄 ISWIS For them, the wine bottles and chandeliers scream “for my parents.” They’d rather sip mocktails in a pop-up gallery than pose next to Bordeaux. More for us! I’m GenX and proud… hey, we’re the fun generation 🍷

At Raymond, the pours are generous but the spectacle is what truly intoxicates. In Napa, the wines may be legendary🥇but at Raymond, the décor gets you tipsy first.

Raymond Vineyards is Napa reframed as a surrealist, theatrical experience. Playful decadence layered over heritage. You can quote me. You’re welcome. Santé !

7 Things Wine Does Better Than Any Man
1. Makes You Feel Sexy Instantly
A glass of Pinot doesn’t need to text you back to deliver.
2. Pairs Well With Dinner (and Dessert)
Try getting a man to complement chocolate as seamlessly as a Cabernet.
3. Ages Gracefully
Wine gets better with time. Men just get opinions.
4. Knows When to Shut Up
A bottle never interrupts your story.
5. Travels Well
Wine in Paris, wine in Napa, wine in your kitchen — consistent. Men? Less so.
6. Always Dresses for the Occasion
Rosé at brunch, Champagne at midnight, Malbec when the mood turns noir. No outfit changes required.
7. Actually Gets Better in Groups
Open one bottle and friends gather. Open two and the party starts. Try that with ex-boyfriends.
