Steampunk Paradox

Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction or science fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Steampunk works are often set in an alternate timeline, in a 19th century British Victorian future, during which steam power has maintained mainstream usage… or in a fantasy world that similarly employs steam power. However, in Stefan Pinto’s Steampunk Paradox, cultural icons exist in an anachronistic future: time collides and celebrities are forced to survive in a new, post-apocalyptic world. Two factions exist: the Regime and the Resistance, each seeking a cause they both believe will lead to a better, greater world. Original photography and narrative by Stefan Pinto.

“Chronicling a post-modern age, Stefan Pinto’s Steampunk portraits uncannily match those of revered and iconic historical and modern-day figures and celebrities, plunging the viewer into a surreal cinematic universe.” - KTLA
